SHOES WORK WELL WITH OR WITHOUT SOCKS... BEEN WEARING ZOOT SHOES FOREVER AND THESE ARE THE BEST! WORTH EVERY PENNY! I WEAR SOCKS 90% OF THE TIME, ZOOT SOCKS OF COURSE AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES. I'VE RACED IN THESE SHOES WITHOUT SOCKS AND RECEIVED NO BLISTERS. GREAT SHOES ZOOT! THANKS!

I am a 6'4" 200 Lb. triathlete who requires stability and cushioning. Zoot gave me all of this and then some in the Ultra Kane. The stability, cloud-like cushioning, light-weight, compression type fit with the bare foot option makes for the perfect short or long distance running shoe. I have been dedicated to another brand for years and had no issues changing after just a few runs. The Ultra Kane has by far made me a happier runner!

I've had these shoes for awhile now, and put a good amount of miles on them. They have worked very well for me so far. There are some things I've noticed though. These are meant to be used without socks (which I personally like because I use them for triathlons) and if you wear them with socks your foot will slide a lot and with the stretchy top to the shoe it may even shift resulting in you rolling your ankle. I came really close to doing this when I used them with socks. I have other friends who own them they all agree no socks. Some of them also had some problems with blisters on the ankle, but I haven't had anything like that happen. All in all a great light shoe and I'll get another pair soon because I've come close to wearing mine out. A word of caution though, If you are looking to wear socks with your running shoe this shoe isn't for you. First review so I hope it was helpful. Enjoy your run :)
